Darryl Davies
I worked with Christina for two years at Stonehill International School when I was the DP Coordinator and Christina was the MYP Coordinator. Christina is an excellent administrator. Her knowledge of curriculum is very good and she is particularly well-informed about the IB programme, both MYP and DP. At Stonehill, Christina worked with her team of HoDs to develop the MYP curriculum, giving effective strategies to Depts and teachers to allow the implementation of the MYP in a clear and coherent way. This was badly needed at the time and provided a direction that was lacking before her arrival. Christina is a very organised person, which is essential in an administrative position in an International School! She worked to deadlines and held everyone to them, but always gave plenty of notice in the form of timelines so that nobody had last minute or surprise things to complete. She always worked well ahead of herself to allow time for issues or problems to be seen and dealt with. Her communication was clear and teachers enjoyed working with her. Christina also taught classes at Stonehill, taking MYP and DP Spanish classes. Her classes were enjoyed by her students and Christina gave a lot of time outside of class to help those that were struggling. Christina enjoyed the inquiry-based approach at Stonehill and her classes were often to be found in the library or IT room, or just around the school, rather than sat in a classroom listening to a teacher. She certainly enjoyed this part of school life. I have no hesitation in recommending Christina Anghelina to your school.
