      Teaches “Introduction to Social Enterprise” to explore the impact that businesses can create to drive social equity and access to opportunity. This class is based on a foundation of Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design practices in combination with national best practices. The course is designed to support the creation of a social enterprise by students capitalizing on an idea to change the world. Teaches "Experiential Social Enterprise" that guides teams of graduating students in collaboration with existing social enterprises to develop recommendations for their continued success. Together, we explore the target customer, identifying Excited to share my experience, vision, and philosophy for applying modern business models to address and improve access to employment, services, and other needs for underserved and low-income households.Created an elective "Equity by Design" to explore and develop the skills for the modern social entrepreneur. This elective cultivates the skills and abilities of each student to be a transformational social entrepreneur. Together, we will explore elements of human-centered design, challenge societal assumptions, navigate bias, and discuss the origins of these issues. As social entrepreneurs, we desire to create a world that is diverse, inclusive, and accessible. We seek to advance humanity by overcoming our past. At the root of this motivation lies the exploration of how to create a business venture that designs transformative access to opportunity by providing employment, new skills, or access to needed services.
