Travel and Hiking Sabbatical
-
Mar 2021 - Sep 2022
I embarked on a professional sabbatical shortly after achieving my decade-long goal to eliminate my student loan debt. From March - October 2021, my spouse and I hiked the 2,198 miles of the Appalachian Trail, stretching from northern Georgia to northern Maine. Through the Summer of 2022, we traveled to Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, and Ireland, and completed a second thru-hike of the 500-mile Camino de Santiago.
