Urban Designer

Jun 2011 - May 2013
Daniels was responsible for conducting and managing complex and important research investigations for urban design projects such as the Jiading New Smart City and the Canberra Capithetical world competition. He has led projects in Australia and China outputting high quality designs from the early stages of site analysis all the way through to detailed control plans. Daniels showed the ability to jump between scales working on numerous projects as small as urban design projects of 100,000 sqm up to extensively large regional plans exceeding 100 sq km. His time at BAU often saw him having to work on a number of projects simultaneously that crossed international borders, where he displayed the ability to communicate well over video conferencing and coordinate the execution of tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines. His projects at BAU include Wyndham Cove TOD community in Melbourne, Gaochun Technology and Science Community and Tangshan New Tourism City and Dongshan International R + D Park - both which were awarded first prize in an invited competition - among others.
