When I worked alongside Poh Choo at Imperial College, Biopolymer Mass Spectrometry Lab,, I found her to be an extremely conscientious researcher, results-focussed and pays attention to detail. An engaging, knowledgeable colleague and a pleasure to work with.

Poh-Choo was a superb mentor for the training course I attended at the Glycobiology Training, Research and Infrastructure Centre (GlycoTRIC) at Imperial College London. I arrived at the workshop expecting to gain hands-on experience on how to process and analyze my glycoprotein samples, and Poh-Choo's mentorship and guidance exceeded all of my expectations. I had previous experience using mass spectrometry to analyze proteins, but I was new to using this technology to analyze sugars. The GlycoTRIC workshop consisted of laboratory work, analysis on mass spectrometry instruments, and data interpretation. Poh-Choo was responsible for structuring the two-week workshop, which she accomplished very efficiently considering that among my cohort were several students and scientists with various needs and experiences! Poh-Choo was always thinking ahead and considering what would be the most efficient plan for processing my samples and interpreting the data that we acquired. I greatly respect Poh-Choo's attention to detail and communication skills, while her experience and expertise ensured that we achieved the goals of the workshop. Poh-Choo's contribution allowed me to gain new, meaningful experiences in glycomics and data analysis. Poh-Choo has shown that she is a great asset and strong collaborator for any team.
