Thomas was instrumental during his time at the NBL with regards to the creation and delivery of a number of new programmes and assets including the League's participation in our first NBA pre-season, NBL All-Australian and NBL Club Tours of China, our community and schools oriented Game Time programme and the "NBL Next Gen" talent identification camps. Thomas was always regarded as a safe pair of hands when it came to managing relationships with key stakeholders including sponsors, clubs, athletes and coaches and was adept at managing competing priorities in what could sometimes be challenging circumstances. Always a pleasure to work with and to have around the office.

The South East Melbourne Phoenix is a new National Basketball League (NBL) franchise. As CEO I worked closely with the Owner, Executives and Senior Level Managers to drive the brand's development from concept to its current position as a fully functioning high-performance team with record membership and crowd attendance for an NBL start-up. I now oversee all strategy, operations and media relations and constantly strive to further develop the success of our new franchise. I have already established robust relationships with many corporate sponsors and am particularly pleased about our philanthropic partnership with the Starlight Foundation.
