I worked for Burton alongside my studies for over four years. During my time there I gained increasing amounts of responsibility, I would operate the store in the absence of the manager, supervising a small team and undertaking all cash management duties. In the summer of 2013 I was given the opportunity to shadow several members of the Sun & Moon Studios team, assisting them when required. This position helped me to understand how a small studio operates during both the crunch period of one project, and the early stages of another. Whilst this experience was only for a short period of time, it was very beneficial for myself to gain some much needed experience in this industry from a studio based in my home city. Before commencing my university studies I worked at my local Marks and Spencer store. I worked in the store operations team where my duties were mostly warehouse based, but I was given the responsibility of securing the building. I learned how to work as part of a team and the importance of following correct auditable procedures. Before commencing my university studies I worked at my local Marks and Spencer store.
