While at BlackBerry, I had the privilege of both working with and as well reporting into Damian on the Regional Asia Pacific Product Management team. I was always able to approach him for discussions, get guidance and direction. Under his leadership, he was able to help drive clarity across various cross functional team, remove roadblocks and enabled and empowered his team and projects to move forward. I admired Damian’s for his ability to look at the business at a macro level, but yet he was also able to work through the micro details when necessary. He also built good relationships with people throughout the organization, including senior leadership team members. He took care of his team, giving credit where due. I would not hesitate to work for Damian again and am certain that he will be a valuable team member in any organization he is a part of.
