As a project manager, oversaw budgeting, strategic planning, client management, and implementation for public health survey and evaluation research studies for government clients that included CDC, NIH, FDA, and NIOSH. Conducted research on a variety of topics encompassing childhood obesity, maternal and child health, eye disease, tobacco prevention, and evaluation of programs related to opioids. Successfully conducted focus groups, interviews, analysis, and reporting using NVivo 11. Conducted usability validation studies for medical devices. • Hired, trained, and supervised field and professional staff, developing protocols, submitted to IRB/OMB, led cross-functional teams that included investigators, IT, project control, and data management. • Led proposals in response to RFPs for projects with the government, universities, and foundations resulting in new work acquisition. • Worked closely with IT to develop a data management system for several projects, meeting deadlines for the client deliverables to the satisfaction of the clients and enabling data collection to begin ahead of schedule. • Managed community education, marketing and outreach for the National Children’s Study Gateway Study Center under the direction of Battelle manager and the client. • Oversaw community relations strategies, involving the management of a media campaign, development of branding and marketing materials, leading community communications, and managing volunteer training. • Trained and supervised a team of more than 25 data collectors as Community Data Collection Lead for the Healthy Communities Study resulting in more than 1,400 interviews being conducted and nearly 10,000 community programs and policies being identified for the study.
