Liam is a talented, hard working developer with deep skills in complex user interface development. He is highly articulate, well presented, customer facing and can understand a problem domain quickly. Easy to get along with, Liam is an asset to any team. I sincerely hope I am able to work with Liam again in the future and wish him the best of luck.

Working directly with our team of developers we built a WPF Desktop system, with an AngularJS web component for a customer in the power meter industry. Our team not only developed the solution, but we also worked with our clients internal team, coaching them in Agile methodologies (Scrum) and current development best practices. The highlight of this role, was upon completion of the product, their internal team was confident they now had the skills to not only maintain the project, but to continue on down the Agile path.

Our team was tasked with rewriting the main sales application for one of Australia's TV stations. The solution was an SOA application with several 'silos' separating business concerns and logic. The system handled the entire booking process, from the display of scheduling information, through to booking, re-scheduling, and reconciliation of what went to air. Technologies used: .Net, WPF, SQL, nService Bus My expertise in WPF were utilised to create several custom controls, most notably a program schedule, that utilised a custom virtualised panel to render several days (or weeks) worth of programs, across several chanels, displaying large amounts of data. Speed was a major concern for this screen, and the amount of data rendered, meant that some very creative mechanisms were utilised to ensure a performant experience

My time was cut short at Datacom, as our entire department was made redundant not long after I started. I was however asked to stay on until the completion of our project.
