Certified by the International Baccalaureate. - Cambridge Curriculum Expertise (2006-present): With over 17 years of experience, I have taught Cambridge A-Level and IGCSE Computer Science and have been fortunate to have had students achieve exceptional results, including 8 Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for A-Level (the highest mark in Spain) and 3 for IGCSE. - Key Stage 3 Expertise (2006-present): Consistently delivered the Key Stage 3 Computer Science National Curriculum of England, overseeing the implementation and updates of the full secondary school Computer Science curriculum. - Competition Mentoring (2016-present): Successfully mentored teams for international and national Computer Science competitions for over 6 years, with highlights including: • 3rd Place in the European Space Agency's Moon Camp (2019). • 1st Place in the European Space Agency Astro-Pi Challenge (2020) and two finalist teams (2023). • Winner in the Regional Informatics Olympiads (2023) and Top 5 (2022). - Robotics Enthusiast (2014-present): Integrated robotics into my Key Stage 3 lessons, enhancing hands-on learning experiences for students. • Established and led ‘The Robot Factory’, an initiative aimed at providing high quality robotics education for K-12 students through Lego educational robotic sets. • Developed an online store, selling LEGO robotics education sets to individual enthusiasts and educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of interactive learning. • Designed and led a highly successful afterschool robotics club on school grounds, providing students with essential skills and an immersive experience in the world of robotics. • Delivered bespoke in-person training sessions for Computer Science educators across the island, equipping them to seamlessly incorporate LEGO EV3 Mindstorm kits robotics lessons into their curriculum. • Initiated and realized a strategic partnership to launch a dedicated physical academy in the city, highlighting a commitment to expanding robotics education. While the journey with The Robot Factory was immensely rewarding, I made the challenging decision to freeze the project in summer 2015. Balancing the demands of a growing start-up with a full-time teaching role at the Canterbury School and family commitments required a recalibration of priorities.
