You will find me showing off our wonderful property nearly every day to groups of all kinds. From softball teams and groups of knitters to corporate meetings and business retreats - our hotel can handle them all! My favorite part about my job is helping groups find exactly the right accommodations for their needs. I listen to exactly what they are looking for, and work with them to make it a perfect fit. I had a front row seat to one of the greatest shows on earth...watching children's confidence and academic skills soar. The role I play is mostly administrative. I inform parents why they should choose Sylvan to make that difference, and get to sit beside them and guide them on their journey. I am responsible for all aspects of the business as well. From the hiring of our wonderful and caring teachers, to ensuring we have enough pencils for the students to show us their growth. In the last four months, 94% of our students showed at least one grade level improvement on their follow up progress assessment. What an easy job I have! Show less

At ITA I got to travel the country and work with amazing people on even more amazing events. I worked side by side with our clients to ensure they had the best meeting or incentive trip their budget could buy. I was responsible for running one of the most aggressive workforce initiatives of its time. We traveled the company enticing former Iowans to return to their "homeland." I held close relationships with HR personnel from a variety of Des Moines based companies; this allowed me to pair returning Iowans with wonderful opportunities.
