This staging arises from the process of deconstruction of the body that "we bring from home", a body limited by the social constructions that the subjects assimilate throughout our lives. After eleven sessions of theoretical and artistic research, the group's participants share this creation that has been coordinated by Pau Alegría and Izan Parra, activists of transfeminism and co-founders of Proyecto Rivera. Genus Radix is conceived as a space for collective debate that starts from the questioning of the regime of sexual differentiation and the dominant gender identity frameworks. Through an embodied practice, which places the body at the center of its inquiries, this initiative is committed to critically facing gender norms both individually and in groups, reconceptualizing what is understood by trans. The proposal of this group of studies is from Proyecto Rivera, an association that aims to make visible the situation of trans people in the Spanish State. Therefore, this performance seeks to challenge creative people, volatile bodies and minds open to change and movement.
