Coach Hopkins is a transformative leader of athletes and men. As an assistant on his coaching staff I regularly saw Coach Hopkins model appropriate, professional and determined behavior that out staff members and players readily imitated and applied. Coach Hopkins was critical in efforts to elevate a once recreational sport and lacrosse team on-campus into a Championship weekend regular. Hopkins also lead efforts to grow the game in the State of Louisiana and opened up opportunities for Lacrosse play that had not been in place prior. His expertise in the sport of Lacrosse coupled with his intentional coaching style led to many players achieving far greater accomplishments than they may have previously thought possible. It was a joy and a privilege to work under and with Coach Hopkins and lessons that I have learned as his assistant will always be a foundational part of my coaching repertoire and approach. Hopkins is an exceptional coach and can reach athletes in any range of levels and backgrounds.

George is a first-rate lacrosse coach, a dedicated instructor and an even better human. Using strong leadership skills, instilling core principles of character, effort and attitude in his players, and having the self-confidence and willingness to hire strong assistants, George has built the Catholic High lacrosse program into a state power. Though a low-key demeanor, a passion to mentor young students and athletes while demanding excellence through attention to detail burns strong.

Regents School of Oxford launched their youth and high school lacrosse program last year, and I have been serving as their founding head coach on a part-time basis. Regents is the first school in Oxford to offer lacrosse as a sport for their student-athletes ranging in ages from 8 to 18 years old. We introduced it in the Fall of 2014 and have now completed 2 full Spring seasons with games against other teams in the region including Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS. I assisted Building 21 as an independent contractor working remotely on a part-time basis in our search for a school leader and teachers to help launch our second high school, Building 21 Allentown, opening within the Allentown, PA school district. We also searched for teachers in and around Philadelphia as we prepared to add the next cohort of students at Building 21 Ferguson, a School District of Philadelphia high school. During our initial design year in Philadelphia, I was one of six foundational team leaders for Building 21 and helped create our organization's mission, vision and values. I contributed to the overall curriculum design and created the initial draft of our core, personal finance studio in accordance with our instructional, competency-based model. I engaged in other work that covered a broad range of topics, including the design and administration of a thorough, behavioral-based hiring process for our founding principal and teaching team. I also conducted research for the design of our facilities, drafted the initial survey of our school's community resources and cultivated community partnerships for future, purposeful and direct work with students. In addition to my role as an executive producer, I really nailed the non-speaking part as a short-order cook in the background of a split-second scene when the cops find Robbie in the Diner.
