MEP and Architectural Interior Fit-out Provided overall project management of construction using industry Best Practices to create high-quality, sustainable property assets. Project management duties include contract buy-outs, cost estimating, overseeing sub contractor's daily operations, as well as monitoring both budget and schedule throughout the construction project. Used integrated team approach, emphasizing early involvement to heighten ability to save cost and time while maintaining highest quality. Provided technical competence, effectively planning preconstruction, construction and post-construction project phases. Accomplishments include: · Improved Earned Value Analysis at Bovis Lend Lease (BLL): Coordination of mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) drawings was slow and costing clients time and money. Implemented underutilized software tools to allow subcontractor to keep up with changes by Architect and Engineer. Reduced sub-contractor drawing turnaround time by 35% and reduced overall schedule by 10%. · Saved BLL client $2M with contingency plan: Architect and engineer designs did not allow for us to get MEP equipment into the building by conventional methods. Forged solution with team consisting of client, engineers and subcontractors. Negotiated with City of Newark to get all equipment airlifted onto building roof, including complex installation of rooftop 120-foot flagpole. · Forged win-win logistics solution: Large-scale BLL Manhattan-based project was stalled, needing temporary power established in order to complete final design documents required for project financing. Interceded for Architect and Engineer who were getting resistance from Utility Company. Developed logistics plan and gained approval for permanent transformer vaults to be installed three months ahead of schedule. Show less
