  I have over 30 years of complex commercial litigation experience and led Smith Anderson’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group from 1985-2010. My practice includes representing diverse organizations and individuals including, financial institutions; issuers and purchasers of securities; officers; directors; lenders; professional advisors; and buyers and sellers of both businesses and of goods and services. My experience includes: - Defending financial institutions from breach of fiduciary duty, breach of duty of good faith, lender liability and consumer class action claims. - Defending companies, officers and directors in securities fraud cases. - Representing buyers and sellers in disputes arising out of sales of businesses and sales of goods and services. - Representing clients in connection with government investigations. I also counsel clients to identify, evaluate, avoid and manage risk in a variety of corporate and commercial contexts. Show less
