Responsible for oversight of Chatham County's recruitment, hiring, selection and employee relations functions. With and through subordinate staff, serves County departments' HR needs through effective planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of talent management and employee relations programs. Oversees the selection and hiring process to ensure timely flow of transactions and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. As the Director of Human Resources, reporting directly to the EVP of Strategic Planning/COO and occupying a seat at the ELT table as well as having a dotted reporting line to the SR VP of Human Resources/Organizational Effectiveness, I am responsible for the Institutional Planning and Operations HR strategic plan and implementation ensuring alignment with the overall mission of the division and Rutgers University in alignment with University Human Resource policies and procedures. Responsible for oversight of 3,400 employees within 16 bargaining units supported by a staff of 5 direct reports including a team of 15. As the Director of the Economic Development Group, reporting to the Vice President of Business Services, I held accountability for strategic planning, financial sustainability, and operations for roughly $6.5M of varying auxiliary and retail operations. Direct leadership of a team of 20, plus 15 consultants, and 60+ part-time operational staff. Competencies include compassion, empathy, and confidentiality as well as strategic planning, operations and opportunity analysis, revenue and profit-building, and client relationship management.
