From 18 offices, we serve clients across the Southeast. At MGC, I handle brand management, public relations, social media strategy, website, graphic design and advertising for the firm's 15 offices across the Southeast. In 2013, MGC went through an extensive rebranding process, including a new logo and website, as well as a narrowed focus on the insurance defense industry. This new brand was unveiled in January 2014. I also have the opportunity to serve as Race Director for the MGC Long Run, a 15k, 5k and Kids' Fun Run, raising money for the USO South Carolina. Over the past five years, the Long Run has raised nearly $125,000 for charities.

As a part of the social media strategy, I established and maintained the IT-oLogy blog, as well as supported and updated the IT-oLogy website. I was also responsible for the creation of copy and design for all promotional materials for print, web and digital signage. This included advertisements, annual reports, brochures and more. In this position, I also wrote and distributed press releases and media advisories. I had the opportunity to work with a number of programs, as well as script videos, create curriculum, partner with events in the Information Technology community, and build relationships with students, educators, parents and professionals to meet the mission of IT-oLogy. I worked closely with the Development Committee and Board of Trustees to develop a strategic fundraising and marketing plan. I had the opportunity to cultivate relationships with parents, grandparents and other potential donors and solicit these donors for the Annual Fund, Scholarship Fund and event sponsorships. In my role, I also researched grant opportunities and submitted grant proposals. I also had the opportunity to work closely with the Administration and Board of Trustees to develop the 2007-2010 Strategic Plan, determining the direction of the new high school and other programs and facilities. By collaborating with parents, volunteers, committees and donors, we planned and implemented a spring fundraising event, doubling net profit over four years, increasing awareness of the event, ticket sales and in-kind and monetary sponsors. I successfully established and maintained a communication plan among the school and its stakeholders (parents, students, teachers and donors), as well as developed an implemented a comprehensive marketing plan to brand the school, increase admissions prospects, raise awareness of learning differences and promote fundraising events and educational opportunities. I also built relationships with the Volunteer Leadership Board and the event committee, while promoting awareness of cystic fibrosis, the Foundation and our events. In my position, I was responsible for three event budget lines, totaling $90,000 in revenue. I also had the opportunity to begin cultivating relationships for Milestones for a Cure, the Foundation's major gift campaign. Other duties included the solicitation of auction items and in-kind donations, tracking all monies in Pledgemaker database and properly thanking donors through the distribution of thank you letters and tax receipts.
