Serve as Southwest Michigan Planning Commission’s Senior Planner with the membership of the region’s two Metropolitan Planning Organizations (NATS MPO and TwinCATS MPO), and is responsible for meeting all MPO-related requirements, including preparation of the Long Range Transportation Plans, Transportation Improvement Plans, the Unified Planning Work Programs, as well management of the Rural Task Force Transportation Program and Congestion Mitigation Air Quality program. The mission is to enhance the image and recognition of St. Joseph, Michigan, promote business and tourism development and to augment the effort of local governmental units. During my five years as Executive Director I created the following events as well as resources to sustain the events in the future: Reindog Holiday Parade Antiques on the Bluff (Held monthly May - September) Chalk the Block Luminary Festival Friday Evening Summer Jazz Series I also was responsible for securing funding and build out of a visitor center.
