As a "gap year" experience, I worked with community members and other fellows to create sustainable ways to address current issues within the county. Some of my projects included facilitation of Diabetes and Heart Health Bingo in local senior centers as a way to educate the public on health issues that are prevalent within the community. I also created a portable wellness education table that is used throughout the county to educate the public on various health topics such as nutrition, heart health, sleep, etc.
