I worked on depth estimation from unstructured multi-view image pose pairs. The task was to utilize cheap hardware on mobile devices and estimate depth following a stereo setup for effective depth analysis. My research was supervised by Dr. Juho Kannala and Dr. Arno Solin. I worked as a research intern at the Applied Recognition Technology LaboratoryDepartment of Theoretical and Applied Science Lab (Arte Lab) at the University of Insubria under the supervision of Dr Ignazio Gallo. My work included employing data from multiple modalities and projecting them unto a common feature space. Specifically, I am worked on image-text captioning for robust scene understanding. Previously, I worked on loss functions for deep face recognition and verification tasks. We worked to develop a loss function which simultaneously minimized intraclass variation and maximized interclass distances, published at British Machine Vision Conference 2018.
