Rob performed exceeding well in the MBA course and was always among the top performers in the class of 100+ students. This was possible because of his passion for this course, his desire to learn more from every opportunity and his ability to manage his course requirements along with numerous other activities (e.g. orchestra, hockey). I believe Rob will be a valuable asset to any organisation/institution that he works for and I wish him the very best.

I got to know Rob during the MBA course and have been extremely impressed by his intelligence, innovative ideas, enthusiasm and helpful nature which he demonstrated all through out the course and as reflected by his performance. He is determined towards his career goals and for which he is working extremely hard. Would definitely be an asset to be treasured for an organisation he would work for.

Recognising there was no one providing a space to bring together academics, policy makers and practitioners to tackle the blight of Fuel Poverty, I formed the Fuel Poverty Research Network with two colleagues in 2015. By 2019 we became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and have developed sources of income to support the charity's primary aim of stopping fuel poverty across the globe. With over 100 members globally, annual events and an active and vocal community, our work has been recognised as an authoritative source for insight and action on Fuel Poverty. Show less

A part time teaching associate role alongside my doctoral studies.I have taught on the following modules:MGT 134 - I marked assignments on the first year undergraduate module "Business Management in Context"MGT 136 - "Management themes and perspectives". A first year undergraduate module. I delivered teaching on the central tenants of operations management issues (such as work-flow optimisation, production scheduling, inventory management, enterprise resource planning) in tandem with core management issues (such as HR challenges, accountancy issues, marketing and sales), whilst respecting the fairly basic understanding of the subject the students had at that stage.MGT 229 - I delivered tutorials on the second year module "Enterprise and Entrepreneurship". This involved supporting and critiquing students delivering a 5 minute business pitch, as well as tutorials exploring the concepts of creativity and innovation, particularly with reference to SME'sMGT 232 - I facilitated the delivery of project work in relation to this Rolls Royce sponsored, second year supply chain management module, in which students had to undertake an detailed analysis of all aspects of an assigned aerospace organisations supply chain, including associated business case and market analysis. Funded by DECC this project forms a test-bed and analysis of the UK government’s flagship policy the “Green Deal”. To do so I developed a large scale survey distributed across Barnsley, undertook in depth pre & post intervention interviews in 5 show homes and semi-structured focus groups with Barnsley residents. These have been subsequently analysed using advanced statistical and qualitative techniques and synthesised into a concise report for Barnsley BMBC and DECC Show less
