Working under PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) to serve as a victim advocate for women in incarceration. This position intends to deter and eradicate sexual assault from occurring within prisons, as well as to provide resources and care to victims.

The goal of the grant works to increase awareness for non-consenual sexual acts when drugs or alcohol are involved and increase bystander intervention to prevent sexual assault. My role involves the advocacy work as well as providing educational training and information to workers within the bar and restaurant business to identify and intervene in situations where sexual assault is common

I am working with Dr Christine Hahn and assisting with 3 NIH funded studies. My current research studies are focused on integrated early intervention for Alcohol Use Disorder and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder following sexual assault. I am also examining the acceptability and effectiveness of an early intervention for traumatic stress, Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) delivered via telehealth for recent sexual assault.
