  I am a Partner in Dorsey’s Trademark, Copyright and Brand Management Group. As a lawyer in the firm’s top-ranked trademark team, I serve as intellectual property counsel for small and large businesses, as well as individual artists and inventors. I service clients in a large variety of industries, including consumer products, cosmetics, financial services, telecommunications, software, and medical devices. My practice includes counseling clients regarding ownership and protection of their intellectual property, domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution and portfolio management, advertising and marketing counseling, negotiating and preparing agreements related to intellectual property, and prosecuting and defending infringement matters, both before administrative bodies and in federal and state courts. I also have extensive experience negotiating and drafting license agreements, and assisting clients with Internet and domain name issues and infringement matters. In addition, I have deep experience in assisting with the transfer of intellectual property rights via corporate transactions and asset purchase and sale agreements. I have also practiced in the areas of art and entertainment law and have counseled bands, individuals and entities on issues involving drafting and negotiating contracts, and protection and exploitation of creative works, including photography, artwork, music, software, and literature. I continue to advise clients in these areas of entertainment law as well as advising clients on privacy issues, publication torts, and other media issues.
