Jade joined WANO at a crucial time in the lead up to the organisation’s flagship member event, the Biennial General Meeting. Despite being new to the industry and to WANO, she approached this huge challenge with great good humour, positivity and professionalism. Her work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a high quality event was delivered was inspiring, and I found I was able to very quickly rely on her to get the job done both in the preparation phase and at the event itself – which made her a hugely valuable asset to me as her manager. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jade for any similar position where a detail-orientated, proactive and hardworking events professional is required. Thank you, Jade!

The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) unites every company and country in the world that has an operating commercial nuclear power plant to achieve the highest possible standards of nuclear safety. My role is responsible for ensuring the professional and cost-efficient delivery of WANO hosted corporate events in collaboration with the WANO regional centres located in London, Paris, Moscow, Atlanta, Shanghai and Tokyo. My prime responsibilities are to ensure the smooth running of event projects, marketing and delivery of the events, and that the required products/reports are produced within the specified time, cost, quality, scope, benefits and risk. I am regularly required to guide and manage teams of over 20 people (including contractors) during the course of planned events, allocating roles and responsibilities to a number of different management levels, including executives and project boards across WANO regional centres as well as the London office.Using my industry expertise and experience, I successfully built and introduced event marketing strategies and calendar from the ground up, resulting in an increase of event attendees from the previous BGM.
