Through contacts at Royal Mid-Surrey GC I was able to successfully develop a strong working relationship with the Yonex Golf UK to earn myself a club sponsorship just 3 months into my tenure at the club. A wide-ranging role that handed me a lot of responsibility during the first two years of my PGA traineeship. The role revolved around relationship building to gain the custom of the membership and external clients. I had carte blanche to create, advertise and coach my own custom events including sell-out academies and specific swing clinics. As my role developed, I grew more confident at utilising products and technologies such as Trackman Performance Suite with Trackman 4 launch monitors in both coaching and custom fitting environments. With stock of most major brands including Callaway, Mizuno, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and Yonex, it allowed me to develop a strong understanding of brand identity and the different technology employed by each brand. This helped me to identify the pros and cons of different head/shaft combinations and select which would work best for any golfer of any proficiency. Show less

A mixture of warm and cold calls to some of Fortnum’s large corporate and high net worth private clients. Managing client accounts, bespoke hamper orders, dealing with in excess of 100 emails/calls per day and providing detailed tracking documents via DPD and DHL to assure safe receipt of their gifts. During my time at Fortnum’s, I smashed my original sales target selling in excess of £250,000 worth of hampers, some weeks beating the core team who dealt with the largest clients. Preparing meeting materials alongside the head partner of the UK Business Recovery Service (BRS) and then attending those meetings with blue-chip clients including large Hedge Funds and Private Equity firms. An invaluable experience learning from one of the most senior partners of the firm, watching how he conducted himself around the most important clients and using this to base how I would act in similar situations.
