Social Media Coordinator
-
Jul 2020 - Present
I manage brand awareness and growth through sales funnel marketing, consumer acquisition, data-driven trends, and user-generated content. I am responsible for curating and coordinating all content related to social media and marketing. I help produce the company’s written and visual materials through professional copywriting, graphic design, photography and videography efforts. Working closely with the Marketing Director, I've translated high-level strategy into consumable messaging and content pillars for both online and on-site initiatives–with completed work for CP24 ads. I worked alongside a web developer, copywriter, graphic designer, and video editor in creating unique and memorable experiences for digital communities. I lead and support weekly marketing meetings with the Directors to ensure all timelines and deliverables are met. I am trained to manage social media calendars and track KPI analytics—as well as develop weekly, monthly and annual metric reports to effectively measure campaign success. In this role, I prioritize the value of storytelling in order to effectively increase engagement, convey community development efforts, and assist with overall branding.

I was also responsible for overseeing project management, wherein I handled social media, event coordination and content management. I helped improve overall brand communication by creating: websites, brochures, flyers, writing content, forms, scripts, documents, etc. I also worked with a range of technological tools and programs to curate and develop innovative forms of visuals for small businesses (i.e. Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Notion, and Figma).

Strategic Project Manager

Oct 2021 - Present
Empowered Phụ Nữ (EPN) is a collective that mindfully builds safe spaces for women from the Vietnamese diaspora to discuss their cultured and gendered identities. As a member, I engaged in a photovoice project that involved bi-weekly visual reflections through the lens of a second-generation immigrant. Photovoice is a participatory action research method that empowers participants to reclaim their narratives through photography and storytelling. In that, I developed compelling analog pieces that utilizes 35mm film photography to convey nostalgia and inter-generational history. I was able to collaborate alongside other creatives to deconstruct our shared experiences, disrupt mainstream narratives, and foster a greater sense of redefined community. I also helped to produce marketing material such as event flyers and cover designs to support outreach initiatives and connect to other diverse communities. Our cumulative project included a digital and physical photo book that explored the nuances of our intersectionalities and lived experiences.
