Enchanted Ink is a 2D/3D hybrid animated short unique to our program in the Character Animation degree track at the University of Central Florida, as part of the 2015 graduating class. Enchanted Ink is a story about a young imaginative girl learning the ancient Persian script of Aramaic. Introduced to the magical world of writing by her father Arsalan, she learns that words can come to life. Follow our heroine May through her adventure as she learns to use bravery and ingenuity to resolve the conflict within her creations. - Reviewed and troubleshot all rigged models in production. - Fully rigged one out of two main characters, while assisting the beginning process of the other. - Oversaw the movements of my 2D character. Produced model sheets and rough animations. - Handled applications and entrance into film festivals, oversaw and kept account of Enchanted Ink's email. Guided colleagues in composing media kits for festivals. - Other jobs: Modeling, UVing, Texturing, 3D/2D Animating. Enchanted Ink was accepted into many local and national festivals, including a couple of international festivals and one online festival. A few of the festivals include: Miami Independent Film Festival, Central Florida Film Festival, Best Shorts Competition, Los Angeles CineFest, International Animation Festival (FIA), IN.S.A.N.E Animation Film Festival and The Monthly Film Festival (TMFF). Among these festivals, Enchanted Ink, was recognized as the Best Animation (Student) in the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards (LIAFFA), received the President's Award in The North Carolina Film Awards and Award of Merit Special Mention: Animation (Student) in Best Shorts Competition, was a finalist in both Best Student Film and The Florida Selection Award in the Central Florida Film Festival, and a nominee for Animation of the Month for TMFF.
