It is with great pleasure that I am endorsing Jess Ottomeyer as a future asset to any future employer. This recommendation could not come with any higher praise. I was grateful to have Jess as my assistant for roughly 2 years before she was promoted to a higher position. Throughout this time I learned a great deal. Jess not only completes the task at hand but exceeds exceptions and her thirst for knowledge is unmatched. I have never had an assistant ask the thought provoking questions nor incorporate and streamline her own ideas while turning them into new processes the way she did. Jess has always been the ultimate team player and her contribution to our buying team created a synergy that still impacts the team even after she has moved on. As a manager she challenged me to be better in so many ways. I have evolved due to her for the better. My management delivery and approach , application of critical thinking as well as my greater understanding of communication has been heightened thanks to Jess and her constant strive to better herself and others within in the workplace. Jess is a joy to work with and is always punctual and deliberate. Deadlines were never a worry with Jess as her time management skills are well beyond satisfactory. Even with the immense work load she inherited, there were never any hiccups, just quality. Jess hit the ground running and continued to produce well beyond her job title. It was a this time Jess was promoted and then took a job on the women's apparel buying team. I was tough to loose her but knowing Jess, her decision was obvious; she transitioned to another team so she could continue to learn. Jess could have easily stayed on the footwear buying team while continuing her rise through the ranks. That's not who Jess is; she is not looking for a hand out or the path of least resistance. She is on a constant quest for information and knowledge and has become a pillar in the buying world. Jess is tenacious, diligent, hard working and would be a true asset to anybody looking to on board. She is well beyond her years in buying experience, management and vendor relations. She can essentially do anything and learns faster than anyone I have had the pleasure of coaching up thus far. Jess will do great things and I am so excited to see where she lands as she will surely have a positive impact in any environment. Adam Willden Zumiez Senior Buyer (footwear)

Jess was an incredible leader and partner for our Women's buying team. Her drive to understand the "why" behind every aspect of our business made her the perfect mentor for our team. She was constantly asking questions and challenging to dig deeper leading to improvements in processes, efficiency and ultimately sales gains. Jess has a strong understanding of the business and is not afraid to take risks. She is quick thinker, always coming to the table with the next big idea for improvement. I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Jess and I appreciate everything that I learned from her. She would be a very valuable asset wherever her career may take her next!
