I proudly served six years in the United States Navy, two of which he spent onboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger CV-61 and 4 years at Naval Air Station Miramar “Top Gun”. During my stay in the U.S. Navy, I was involved in multiple deployments including the 1989 Western Pacific Cruise (WestPac). While deployed on the 1989 WestPac, the USS Ranger patrolled the Persian Golf and provided support for the Omani and Royal Thai Air Forces. For my service in the United States Navy, I received the Meritorious Unit Commendation (x2), Battle Efficiency Award, Sea Service Ribbon, Humanitarian Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary Ribbon Persian Golf (x2), Navy Expeditionary Medal Operations and a Commendation for opening the flight deck while in port to allow for helicopters to land and transfer badly needed fire fighting equipment to the USS Constellation which was on fire off the coast of San Diego. I was credited for saving many lives during this emergency operation. Show less
