I had the pleasure of being a colleague of Ms. J'Amy McCracken's at the International School of Kuwait where we were members of the Senior Leadership Team. As Heads of Learning, we collaborated closely while establishing an educational start-up, building various processes such as, technology, systems and collections. A challenging environment, we literally started from scratch, J'Amy was a welcomed addition to the SLT as she showed quick problem solving skills and adaptability as a dependable team player. Ms. McCracken's professional skills include, however were not limited to, being knowledgeable about literature, management of library and educational best practices, organization, detailed oriented, excellent communication and presentation skills. She greatly values library ethics (copyright, plagiarism, citation), sharing that with her ISK department colleagues and teaching faculty. J'Amy personality traits were found throughout the professional relationships she created as she is amiable, energic, dependable, inspires others, and ethical. I have enjoyed the strong connection with Ms. McCracken following our time at ISK. We have worked jointly on other research projects, which were of tremendous benefit due to J'Amy's deep research skills and resourcefulness.

Ms. J’Amy and I worked in an educational start-up building everything from scratch. It was a challenging/stressful environment but we were able to optimize the library operations as a whole after identifying the gaps that need to fulfill. Team management skills with transitioning to in person while others were online, Quick problem solving skills, adaptability. When workloads got intense, Ms. J’Amy would roll up her sleeves and jump in with me. When everything becomes a priority and when we had 15,000 + books to inventory or even buying scanners from her own pocket so we could continue working, she’s always there giving me a help. Ms. J’Amy’s professional skills: 100% Supportive and understanding leader, organized, detailed oriented, knowledgeable about literature, knowledgeable about library and educational best practices. Knowledgeable about latest library technologies. Excellent communication skills/presentation skills. Macro management style. Her personality traits: energetic, friendly, dependable, inspiring others, ethical, optimistic, trustworthy. Ms. J’Amy and I still stayed in touch post ISK and exchanged professional ideas or gave professional support. She is a delight and an incredible asset to anyone lucky enough to work with her.
