At NKVTS i work as project coordinator and project assistant at two different projects; one focused on implementation of trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) in children and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic and one focused on developing and pilot testing an app for use in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I work with coordination and different tasks related to the two researchprojects. At NKVTS, I have also contributed to the development of the new organisational strategy, and been part of a team that advised the Norwegian health authorities during the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020. As part of my masters-degree, I undertook an undergraduate research year, from February 2018 to January 2019. The undergraduate research year is an opportunity for students with an interest in the scientific world, to try their skills as a researcher. My project is conducted in collaboration with professor Ask Elklit and the National Centre of Psychotraumatology. My project focused on violent extremist attitudes among youth. Todays radicalized are young, a fact that implies their attitudes and beliefs have been formed during the formative and (in some cases) vulnerable adolescent years. My project therefore focused on the interaction between mental vulnerability and violent extremism among youth. I was responsible for the project, a task that involved developing research design and making a time frame, conducting literature search and data analysis, as well as writing both a scientific article and a master’s thesis based on my findings. In addition, I will search for funding, and participate in courses in both systematic literature reviews and the statistics program “R”, at the Ph.D.-school at the university of Southern Denmark Show less

NEFOS provides both individual and group sessions to support and counsel people in difficult situations. The position as counsellor at NEFOS requires a comprehensive peer-to-peer training, including regular supervision and participation in topical presentations. I completed the training in February 2017.
