Manages the portfolios of the Dominican Republic, Peru, Paraguay, and Nicaragua for the USAID ASSIST- Zika Project. Provides backstopping support for the USAID-PEPFAR PrevenSida project in Nicaragua. ASSIST and PrevenSida project coordination activities include: tracking and monitoring project expenses, reviewing and processing monthly field reports (financial and narrative), preparing and analyzing quarterly financial reports, and assisting in preparing, monitoring, and realigning budgets. Additionally, tracking and overseeing project activities, providing technical assistance on quality improvement strategies, and coordinating administrative and financial communications with field staff, subcontractors, collaborating organizations, and HQ. Two recent key activities have included coordinating and assisting in the planning, logistics, and execution of the three-day USAID Care and Support for Infants, Mothers, and Families Affected by Zika Workshop in Panama City, Panama for 100 representatives from 18 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. The second key activity has been assisting in the development of a first-of-its-kind, adaptable Sustainability and Transition Guide to be utilized for ASSIST project close-out and future USAID projects at project start, including a facilitation guide for conducting high-level Ministry of Health policy discussions and planning sessions for key interventions' sustainability after technical assistance ends. The guide is being piloted in Paraguay and the Dominican Republic in two, week-long sessions with field staff, Chiefs of Party, and government officials. Show less
