I work with growers on their understanding of carbon and it’s use in modern agriculture. We utilize sugarcane molasses with other 21st century chemistry, such as MKP, to add a carbon based product around fertilizer placement area. Smart Yield is a company I started to focus on "more then surface deep"​ statistical analysis of agriculture data. The few variables that were used to create variable rate prescriptions and management decisions can only go so far in creating yield gains. I believe much is to be learned with statistical analysis to answer more of the "why"​ questions, and in turn will create profitable decisions. Much of the low hanging fruit has still yet to be picked! Also, we need to start treating each acre like individual businesses; putting a ton of weight on Net profit and ROI. We are working to provide consultation on balanced fertility plans, profit mapping and variable rate mapping for seed, Nitrogen, and soil corrective materials. I am assistant to the General Manager of the store. The business manager is basically a training position to get individuals ready for the highly competitive and high risk position of a Field Marketer. I work with all the field marketers (Salesman) working up deals, trade evaluations, and any financing needs they may have (leases, retail loans), as well as getting a hands on feel for what it is like to manage a dealership in the agriculture industry.
