    • Interim PYP Coordinator
      • Jan 2022 - Present

In collaboration with the MYP and DP coordinators, I successfully planned and implemented a school-wide self-study practice that allowed faculty and staff to reflect on the present achievements and areas for growth in the school. I also collaborated to create a programme development plan that focused on improving the inquiry practices of all teachers across the continuum through action research. I helped collect data on current best practices in inquiry based teaching and learning at the school, including capturing videos and lesson plans as highlights. This data informed me when researching and presenting professional development opportunities to staff that included attendance at the Toddle TIES 2022 conference, and IB online workshops.I collaborated with an artist in residence, to plan and integrate their knowledge and expertise in art and storytelling into units of inquiry, deepening student understanding about First People's Principles of Learning. I participated in the IB Review, playing a key role in the Programme Development Plan focused on improving the inquiry practices of our teachers for better student outcomes. As part of this process, I documented examples of the inquiry cycle throughout the PYP and used the data to discover areas for growth.I edited and revised important community documents like staff and family curriculum guides to align with current IB standards and practices, including focuses on the learner, teaching and learning, and the learning community. These important changes helped align Stratford Hall's current vision and pedagocical practices with current IB and BC Ministry of Education documentation.
