I started teaching kids to code in 2019. I taught in various after-school programs and youth tech programs. Youth coding instruction is my second passion. In 2021, I started to lead the KidsCode team. I created coding curriculum which effectively taught coding concepts, was incredibly fun, and was possible for non-coders to teach. I trained teachers to teach code and to manage their classes in schools across Fresno. I often observed teachers and gave them feedback on their performances. Every Friday I ran a 3-hour meeting where we learned new teaching skills, had group discussions about common issues, and finally I would train them the next week's lessons often involving increasingly intricate robotics and game development challenges. -worked partially as an engineer with the Game Services making revolutionary new tools for our game designers-quickly made scripts/tools for designers as new needs arose-explored and defined the design direction our new reward systems should go-defined the design & art direction for many of our in-game “obstacles”, worked with artists and engineers to see it through-continued to make dozens of levels per week-trained new designers

I am an early designer on Snoopy Pop! Released on iOS/Android 7/11/17 with multiple iTunes/Google Play features.-I have designed hundreds of levels in the game, including some of the top performers.-I led the level design of "Rope Mode", which is an innovative physics-based mode. I made over 50% of these levels, and developed best practices for other designers.-I have developed tools which have transformed the way we create content.-I led the design/development of multiple level obstacles that introduced fresh mechanics, collaborating closely with artists and engineers.-I led the design of our Win Streaks limited-time-event, which rewards players for beating consecutive levels. I worked closely with a large team of artists/engineers/managers to see this vision through.-I programmed multiple editor-tools that significantly reduce time spent tuning levels, and affords designers more control. I worked on an educational web application and companion mobile app. I used AngularJS and HTML5 to add new frontend features to the web site and app, making sure every change was consistent across all platforms and mobile OS's. I also used CakePHP to make additions/tweaks to the backend code, including generating emails and executing API calls. I fixed bugs, many of which were browser and OS specific, which took a lot of research and digging into the code. I was also in charge of collecting analytic data using Mixpanel, creating segmentations to show simple event data. For more complicated visualizations, I used JQL to parse data and D3 to create elegant visualizations that communicated the effectiveness of specific design decisions as well as general audience trends, for designers and project leads to evaluate.
