Part of a major gifts team that raised over $4 million annually from individual donors to support hunger relief efforts in San Francisco and Marin. I managed a portfolio of 170+ major donors that yielded close to $1,000,000 in fiscal year 1415. I also grew the portfolio by 33% from the previous year. Strategies included: direct mail, proposals, events, and personal solicitation. I partnered with the leadership team to design and execute the solicitation strategy to raise over $650,000 in corporate and individual sponsorship for the food bank’s annual gala. I spearheaded efforts to institutionalize and grow the food bank’s planned giving program. I managed a major gifts coordinator responsible for gift processing and administrative duties. Show less

Strategies included: major gifts solicitation, events, grant writing, direct mail, online appeals, monthly donor program. I also collaborated with Jennifer Siebel Newsom and her film team to raise $900,000 in funding for production of The Mask You Live In and The Great American Lie. I launched and grew The Representation Project’s Founder’s Circle, a group of 15 donors who contribute $25,000 or more annually over five years to support general operating expenses. By early 2012 the organization reached over 100,000 people with its messages through online platforms. In 2014, the organization reached 3.5M people weekly. Additionally, I designed and executed the Town Hall strategy for Miss Representation, convening 500 business and political leaders, educators, parents and youth to co-create strategies for building healthier communities.
