  Identify and determine value of properties, using methods such as field inspection, structural measurement, calculation, inspect new construction and major improvements to existing structures in order to determine values, inspect properties, considering factors such as market value, location, and building. Prepare and maintain current data on each parcel assessed, including maps of boundaries, inventories of land and structures, property characteristics, and any applicable exemptions.Detailed Job Description :• Visit / identify locations and map areas to the nearest towns and markets within a radius of 60kms of Kisumu (as the focus area to start with). Identify prime shops in the best locations, which are nearest to schools, churches, hospitals and kiosks. Ear-mark market days per location.• Determine property rental value of each location e.g. rent per month, deposit payable if any, service charges if any etc. Measure the size of property in square feet and collect details of owner with contact numbers.• Inspect the existing structure for any leakages; plumbing issues; electricity challenges; ventilation based on FMCG criteria; determining (for security purposes) whether there is galvanized sheet or slab roof; clarify floor evenness; demand clean washrooms; and certify security per location, by arranging for a security audit through the in-house security officer.• The owner of the premises should clear all the water and electricity out-standing bills if any.• Collect and inspect the water and electricity meter readings before we move in.• Arrange and coordinate lease agreements and finalize the location once approved by Head of Geerani Department. There is a standard lease agreement drawn up by our lawyer which the landlord can peruse and accept. Any requested changes to be discussed between the two lawyers.• Once the shops have been agreed and finalized the below tasks are to be executed:
