I was an intern in ELEBC Lab, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan from 11th May, 2018 to 13th July, 2018. The research project I worked on was managed by Mr. Hareesh. He also used to manage the ELEBC Lab and all the projects. Overall, my experience wprking under him was really good. I learned a lot of things from him including project management skills, API interfacing, presentation skills. Due to limited time in the internship, sometimes we had to work whole day and night integrating different codes. During every such night, I had Hareesh sitting next to me motivating me to finish the work. He is an excellent guide and a good mentor to work with.

Hareesh worked with me in NSN-RNC Team in Aricent. Hareesh has excellent communication skills and ability to present a problem statement in a crisp and clear manner. He has good understanding of various programming languages including C. He is very disciplined in his approach and takes assignments with complete ownership. Hareesh is a great asset for team in which he works and wish him great career ahead.

Appointed as a Ministry of Science and Technology, Postdoctoral Research Fellow from Apr. 1, 2019 to Aug. 31, 2019. The goal of this fellowship is to convert a part of my doctoral thesis into an industry product to enable electrical transformer manufacturers in Taiwan. Electrical transformers are capital machinery that increases or decrease an alternating voltage on demand for electricity distribution. The global transformers market is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 7-8 percent to $46.9 billion by 2020. Key drivers of the global growth are generation capacity additions to cater to increased electrification, high replacement rates in developed countries, and strict grid stability requirements owing to renewable energy. When a power company, wants to procure a power transformer, a process known as the Request for Quotation (RfQ) is followed. The RfQ process identifies qualified transformer manufacturers requesting for bids (quotations). An RfQ document identifies the detailed requirements of the transformer to be procured. RfQ documents have a complex technical description (>30 pages; average 3.6 MB) and require less than a week of responsive time by the transformer manufacturers with their estimated costs and quotations. The estimation from the manufacturers should be prompt and accurate to secure the sales contracts thereby creating a need to quickly understand and visualize key technology components listed in an RfQ. Further, there is an additional requirement for handling post quotation queries requiring continuous effort from both the customer and the manufacturer in the decision loop. During the postdoctoral period, I will be in charge of creating an ecosystem that enables automatic identification of requirements from a given transformer RfQ. This ecosystem of tools that will cut down industrial interaction delay by weeks enabling transformer manufacturers in Taiwan for a competitive outreach with prospective customers. Show less

My work in the Enterprise Logistics and E-Business Center (ELEBC) 企業運籌與電子化中心 laboratory, National Tsing Hua University involved data analytics, software project management, and coding in a host of programming languages. The projects are funded vide the Ministry of Science and Technology project 106-2218-E-007-012-MY2. The intelligence derived from our project algorithm helps in mapping essential technology components and key standards discussed in a huge corpus of technical documents. Further, the identified components are discussed as publications and customized forindustrial problems to build a custom development stack which I manage to design, develop, and deliver as end-user solutions. After completing my Masters in Engineering, I joined back as a Research Assistant in 2015, February my work now involved using PHP to distribute scientific programs written in C language on the web. In my project, I write code and test in both web language PHP and make corresponding changes in legacy software written in C language for concurrency control, calculation consistency, etc. I also carried out minor research in the concept of TRIZ (theory of Inventive problem solving) which is an applied intellectual property technique. My contract ended with the SIEM lab on June 30, 2017, and I was absorbed full time in the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Government of Taiwan project under the ELEBC lab. Show less
