Christopher took part in the University of Birmingham 2021 Accenture boot camp. Working remotely, teams of students who had never previously met completed a team task to research five industries adversely affected by COVID-19 and pitch a solution based on Accenture’s tech vision for post-digital people. A full weekend of preparation activities was followed by a week collaborating with team members and external mentors to propose a solution and record a video pitch. Skills required for the boot camp include teamwork; project management; research; idea generation; leadership; pitching; and problem solving. This was an intense and challenging activity so it was impressive to see the extremely high quality of the finished pitches.
