I purchased my home five years ago and was married last year. Since I was now married, I needed to update the name on my title to list my married name, as well as add my husband to the title. It seemed like such a simple thing to do, but I had a difficult time even gathering the proper information to get this information changed. I initially reached out to the title company that had assisted me during my home purchase. They informed me that they could not assist me and directed me to my realtor. My cousin had worked with him several years ago when selling her condo and she had rave reviews regarding his professionalism and service.
