  Designed and taught various subjects at all levels of secondary school. Recipient of the ATEQ Grants for Excellence in Teaching in 2019 in order to launch a student-led approach to literature. Used the funds to purchase science fiction novels to institute book groups based on choice. Incorporated technology in the classroom to create multi-media projects such as digital stories, song parodies and rants like including WeVideo, Canva, Flipgrid. Implemented a fundamental shift to Mindset Mathematics in Secondary II classroom to create a deeper understanding of concepts and focus on collaboration and discussion in the classroom. Acted as IEP coordinator for two years. Led meetings with parents, instructors and students to review students' strengths and needs. Coordinated IEPs for the school including scheduling meetings and coaching teachers. Co-led the school Student Leadership program for 4 years which included weekly meetings to plan and lead school based events from fundraising to entertainment.
