  During the Spring of 2015, I had the privilege of studying abroad in Florence, Italy where I traveled for four months throughout Europe. My experiences abroad opened my eyes to the world and was the forefront for my love of travel. I joined the WSU Global Learning Office in hopes that my experiences abroad would help convince future WSU students to study abroad as well. As a Peer Adviser, I conduct weekly Global Coug 101 meetings with students interested in studying abroad. I make sure forms are scanned, logged and filed. I am also in charge of scheduling students for Global Cougs 101 sessions. I work at Global Learning events and fairs and help with the set-up, take-down and decoration of our booths. In addition, I am in charge of creating the new Global Learning informational video for the Global Learning WSU website and Global Coug 101 presentations. I love telling students about my experiences abroad and being able to give them first-hand advice.

  As the Social Media intern for the Seattle International Film Festival, I was responsible for assisting the Interactive Marketing Manager in implementing SIFF’s overall communications and marketing plan. In order to build awareness about SIFF within the community, I focused specifically on digital communications and social media, which included Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Instagram. My team and I increased film screening attendance and ticket sales over the duration of the Festival. I learned how to collaborate well with the media marketing team. In addition to managing all social media accounts, I was the photographer for multiple film premiers and interview the honored guests.
