My role and responsibilities included: drafting legal documentation; independent case management during the initial enquiry stage through to retention; selling legal services in a competent and competitive manner; attending court for a PADA hearing (Pre-Action Disclosure Hearing); taking witness statements and reviewing official legal documents such as the Conditional Fee-Agreement. I obtained a good understanding of Pro Claim and used other resources such as Land Registry Search or Companies House Search to best prepare each case before handing it over to the file handlers at my firm. Daily, I assisted both solicitors and partners in deciding which cases to take on. I also delivered the same standard of service to Polish clients, who would have not used our firm if not for my individual assistance and language skills. I took on one of the highest caseloads in my department (approx. 90 new cases every month) whilst ensuring that my accepted clients were also retained (monthly average of around 95%-90%). I combined all my skills to achieve excellent reviews on trust pilot from my clients who described me as efficient, knowledgeable and extremely responsive. Show less

My role included managing stock, working closely with customers on the shop floor and through telephone communication. Through a variety of roles, I learnt how tasks such as planning how aisles will be laid out require vigorous attention to detail and logical thinking. Additionally, dealing with customer complaints required good listening, understanding and awareness skills. Working for Superdry allowed me to improve my selling skills. Attention to detail was essential in my role as I was required to remember various unique selling points for a range of products and display such knowledge effectively. Furthermore, I gained the ability to work under pressure through adhering to tight sale targets during the busiest periods of the year. My drive and determination was the reason I was often described as the ‘best performer’, shown by the fact that I was rewarded a £250 voucher at the end of Christmas. Working under pressure has helped me manage my time and organise more efficiently, impacting my studies and personal life in a positive way. Show less

Whilst at Waitrose, I worked behind food counters, cash tills, on the shop floor and behind the customer services desk. Selling products face to face has improved my persuasiveness and negotiation abilities as it was these two skills that ensured the work I was assigned to do was done effectively. Handling cash and card transitions also improved my attention to detail. Whilst at Waitrose, I worked behind food counters, cash tills, on the shop floor and behind the customer services desk.
