Bill is the full package! Sometimes those with great design skills lack the basic foundational elements that are required for successful collaboration. This is not the case with Bill. His responsiveness, openness & ability to deliver more than what was asked for make him one of the best partners I've ever worked with. His attention to detail & ability & team-playing willingness to handle all tasks from grinding out CD's to producing higher design concepts make him invaluable. NOTHING ever got lost in the shuffle with Bill, he NEVER dropped the ball. This guy is really a rarity. Yeah Bill!!

The Visitor Infrastructure working group connects and engages the Boulder community and broader visitors with the City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks. The infrastructure that the group builds and maintains is an integral part of the visitor experiences and ecological systems that make Boulder such a special place. As the Signs and Graphics Coordinator, I am responsible for managing staff, work planning, and work produced by the signs group. I develop, implement, and evaluate strategic plans, programs, and procedures for signs, wayfinding, and graphics across OSMP public lands. Our group strives to uphold the city, OSMP and its own vision: Inspired service stewarding a lasting system of infrastructure that encourages a visitor experience as iconic as the city and landscape it supports.

Parks and Open Lands Planner
-
Apr 2013 - Nov 2015
The City of Loveland is committed to the development of master and site specific plans for parks, open lands, trails, and facilities. My role focused on using a holistic design and review process to enhance the recreation and passive spaces throughout the community. My position centered on successful implementation and coordination of City Park & Recreation plans and Open Space plans. While working at the City of Loveland (CO), I led citizen groups and staff using professional landscape architecture and project management training to recommend projects for acquisition, development, and priority ranked maintenance. I worked within my Department, with other City Departments, adjacent Communities, the County, State, and FEMA to complete assigned projects. I also represented our Department in the Development Review Team and special projects such as the Parks & Recreation Master Plan update, Open Lands Plan, a City Comprehensive Plan update, and a Municipal Code update. My involvement focused on Park and Open Space planning while also performing site / property analyses, negotiating easements for completion of a City trail loop and negotiating easements as part of the Development Review Team, project management ranging from playground renovations to a 120 acre Community Park installation, leading community charettes, and providing technical plans and 3d renderings to obtain grants and funding from other agencies.

Community Works Design Group is a group of talented park, commercial, and residential designers. While working here, we won two awards- one for the Medal of Honor Memorial at Riverside National Cemetery and one for Sherwood Park in Paso Robles (where we used custom sculptures to create an imaginary play scene complete with smoke coming out of a dragon).
