Senior Design Engineer for the Propulsion Design Team, Warship Design Centre. Worked on the indigenously designed and built Offshore Patrol Vessels.Responsibilities:♦ Propulsion Machinery and Systems Design Undertook the Exhaust system design, member of team undertaking the first in-house design of exhaust systems and saving approx. INR 8 Cr on project cost. Prepared templates and calculation sheets for carrying out design calculations for Back pressure calculations, thermal insulation thicknesses etc. Prepared production drawings from 3D model of the system for different projects. ★Awarded Process Innovation (PI) award for the In-house Design and Manufacture of Marine Exhaust Systems by the Centre of Excellence. ♦ Propulsion System Integration Compiled a comprehensive Propulsion System Integration for the project - from the Basic design of Propulsion systems till Seatrial reports. Aided in the IPMS integration with the control system and various operation requirements and overall equipment installation onsite.♦ Onsite Engineer Worked on the MR of Indian Naval vessel for 6 months and attended the Seatrials for the newbuild vessel.♦ Other Responsibilities• Vendor Interaction for various propulsion equipment.• Incharge of the Main Engine and Exhaust System for different projects• 3D modelling of various components, • Weightsheet of Propulsion Equipment, • Class drawings for propulsion equipment, • Co-ordinator of Seatrial documents • Member of ISO team for Quality Assurance.
