Matthieu Mouthon was an intern for Ubisoft Romania’s Game Design department for a full month. In that time, I served as his mentor and I challenged Matthieu with multiple design subjects from systems design to UI and signs and feedbacks. Because he is an avid gamer himself, his passion and eagerness to work in this industry proved to be immense. What stood out the most was his willingness to learn new things and his sociable and friendly nature. That, along with his excellent command of English language helped him integrate himself into the team very quickly. He was exposed to a huge AAA game and while I can not get into specifics about his work due to the confidential nature of this job, I can say that he demonstrated creativity, enthusiasm, reliability and passion in his day to day tasks. I am sure that if given the chance, Matthieu will be a strong addition to any game development studio and will have a very bright future ahead of him.
