Astrid van Santen
Daniel Michaud Maturana was my professor at the Maastricht Hotel Management School. He was my Spanish professor and guide of both of my internships I did in Chile. His way of teaching was very inspiring and efficient. The degree of involvement as guide of our internship was striking. We went well prepared to Chile and received a extra curricular course in the Chilean culture. While we where in Chile he visited us and besides the usual evaluation of our progression as interns in the different Hotels. He showed us Chile in a way foreigners usually don’t get to see. During my internship we had weekly contact and the communication with was always perfect. He always forced me to think out of the box and to understand the cultural differences. Daniel Michaud Matura has been for sure one of my sources of inspiration to profound my knowledge of Latin American Cultures and Languages.
