I served as the Technical Manager for Renner Sayerlack products in Mexico, during which time a joint-venture called Comex-Renner was established to provide exceptional wood solutions to the furniture market. I was invited to join the venture as a Technical Manager, and during the first few months, I worked with Comex chemists to reproduce Brazilian wood coatings formulations to match the quality of imported products. Once the formulations were successfully replicated, I trained the Comex sales team on product applications and sales techniques. Unfortunately, the joint-venture ended after Comex was sold to PPG.
