Tom volunteered for several years with our Career Chats program, a two-day event where business professionals interact and give real-world advice to the students within the MSU College of Business. Tom was a joy to work with, always so enthusiastic about working with the students. He is an excellent public speaker and communicator. He has an exceptional ability to work with people of all levels, and utilized that skill to convey meaningful and useful information to the students, to aid them in their future business careers. He is such an asset to the program and the students of MSU!

I have known Tom since he started working at Saks Incorporated in 1997. His boss during that time (Denny Britt) faithfully relied upon Tom to assist him with many of the tasks (including scheduling and budgeting) associated with running the stores in the McRae’s Division. When Saks sold the McRae’s Division to Belk in 2005, Tom applied for and was transferred to the Parisian Division (also owned by Saks Incorporated). Tom left the Company when Saks sold Parisian to Belk in 2007. Because of our past working relationship and our connection to our alma mater, Mississippi State University, I have remained connected with Tom and his wife Rebecca. I would recommend Tom for a leadership position. He has strong management skills and is very good at managing people, processes and projects.
